NooK · update
First IndieLog. I've been working on this idea for just under 2 months. After a dip in motivation last week, I decided to keep myself accountable by posting regular updates of my progress. Atm, I've got a functioning database set up with Supabase, about 60% of a MVP app developed with Flutter, and a basic web service for businesses to upload their products to Nook.
Originally, I had planned to give myself until the summer of 2025 to complete the app as it is quite complex. However, after discovering Pieter Levels and his philosophy of shipping fast to validate the product, I've decided to move up my deadlines. I've set 2 goals for the next 2 months (January and February 2025):
January: Set up website to showcase the product + Having a functioning MVP.
February: Set up the platform for businesses to add products + partner up with a few local stores + look into funding options to be able to work on the business full-time.
March 1st: Launch the first version of the app.
Here's Nook's pitch:

🖐️ How does it work?
With its intuitive interface, Nook turns shopping into a fun experience: swipe through items, liking or disliking them, and the algorithm instantly refines its suggestions to offer you the best options.
