# Voice and AI generation

Configure voice examples and style rules while keeping generated numbers tied to project evidence.

## Voice controls

Voice settings can store traits, rules, banned phrases and examples. You can try a rewrite against supplied text and inspect it before saving or publishing. Voice adaptation does not authorize new factual claims.

## AI Gateway prerequisites

AI tasks use Vercel AI Gateway. The deployment must set AI_GATEWAY_API_KEY and explicit provider/model IDs: AUTOPILOT_WRITER_MODEL, AUTOPILOT_HISTORY_MODEL, AUTOPILOT_CLASSIFIER_MODEL, AUTOPILOT_EMBEDDING_MODEL and AI_REPORT_MODEL for the relevant features. Model availability and provider access belong to the gateway account; a valid model ID alone does not prove a provider accepted a request.

AI generation also depends on OUTBOUND_ENABLED and the user’s daily writing budget. When model configuration, provider access or budget is missing, the operation returns a setup or limit error rather than silently switching to another provider.

## Privacy and accuracy

- The writer is instructed not to invent facts, numbers, customers, revenue or shipped work.
- Numeric claims are checked against source evidence before an automatic publication can proceed.
- Privacy checks can hold a draft for a private path, secret or customer reference. Inspect the draft before release.
